The boardwalk has been acclaimed as the nation's best. Along the popular boardwalk are shops, a ferris wheel, a roller coaster, and a carousel built in 1902. The National Aquarium

The National Aquarium overlooks Baltimore's Inner Harbor. There is marine life from all over the world, as well as birds, mammals, and lots of other planet life. Not all the environments are under water, but they share the common connection to water. The largest of these is the five-story Tropical Rain Forest. Elsewhere there are sharks and dolphins, and the brilliant tropical fish in the Atlantic coral  Reef  habitat.

Baltimore Inner Harbor

Baltimore's Inner Harbor is a magnet for
visitors. It is filled with attractions and entertainment options. The waterfront has been nicely developed with parks and ships to tour. Surrounding the harbor  are the National Aquarium, the Visionary Art Museum, and the hands-on Maryland Science center, which showcases a planetarium. Harbor Place is a modern complex anchored by glass enclosed pavilions featuring shops, restaurants, and an amphitheater on the promenade.
